I am so excited for summer to finally be here so that i get to go home. But however I do have to come back in august for two a days which will not be too fun. but still the fact that I get to go home for two months is awesome.
The article that i chose was “Title IX equal or no?” This article really made a lot of sense because there are quite a few loopholes within the piece of legislature. Women are still not recieving the amounts of funds that they duly deserve. Women are constantly being discriminated against in sports, some big schools cant even afford to send all of the women players to compete at other schools. The scholarships that women are recieving are truly no match compared to what the men recieve as far as scholarships. The article talks of how mens progams are being affected the same way because about a year ago oregon lost their wrestling team because the school decided to open up a new baseball program and there just werent enough scholarships for the wrestling team to keep functioning so they ditched that and gave the women a program and called it cheer, and this just goes to show you how title IX affects a lot of athletes.
David lets everyone know why books are vital to a persons education. Books helps a person ope and expand their minds. Jobs are starting to become computerized and i somewhat believe what david is trying to say about how u should use books to better your education. Some classes can be a waste i feel like having to take all of these geckers and i feel that they do not help me one bit and so i have to waste my money on these stupid books for these classes. I feel like books can help better your education but at the same time I feel like learning hands on is definately more beneficial. I feel like one occupation is good enough for me and that i dont need multiple occupations.
Title IX
Is the scholarship system equal?
Are women being treated fair in athletics?
What should be changed about Title IX?
The reading focuses on how the simpsons show satirical irony throughout its series and points out everything wrong with the country. In the show there is a giant powerplant that the whole town works in, and you can see people trying to secretly dump toxic waste into the river and make it unobvious. It also shows just how corrupt the world is and puts a comedial spin on the show so that evryone can relate.
1. The purpose of the simpsons is to put a comical spin on how corrupt and spoiled the world is.
2. Benlows main idea is to try and make fun of the standards that we as americans live by, and to show people just how funny we make ourselves look.
I believe that Lou Ferrigno in the movie is steretyped because he is obviously big but they dont have to portray him as mean or a beast. In the movie he acts like a tough guy and they sare just stereotyping him as a mean individual because he is huge.
In Blue Mountain State there is a lot of masculinity though The linebackers in that movie are crazy, but yet the whole team looks up to them for advice. The linebacker is constantly telling people off, and he is always in trouble, but yet he does find a way in order rec havoc among the team and make sure that there is no quick fix. There is always masculinity flowing around all of the tine but yet blue mountain state is a good example. The villain in the show is the Ncaa always trying to bust down on their fun, and hopefully get somebody unsuspecting in trouble.
The hulk does show some sort of masculinity. The hulk does show masculinity because he is always defending the heroine, and she does the same for him also. In the movie the hulk takes on three giant pit bull’s at the same time in order to protect his woman, and so this fierce battle breaks out within her front yard and they attack hulk and he has no one to back him up, but yet he uses all of his strength in order to save this poor woman. The woman is the heroine because she sacrifices her life in order to save the hulks but in the end it plays out to where she does not have to sacrifice herself. The movie is a great example because hulk is definitely chiseled and very strong, has broad shoulders, and a wide chin, so this shows the characteristics of a Masculine hero.
Young Buck started recording music when he was 14 and has been hitting records ever since. Young Buck did drop out of high school in order to pursue his music career. For buck to be recording at the age of 14 that is pretty impressive to me. However he did begin to go through a phase as a young teenager. Buck started selling drugs at a young age, but then turned it all around by his early twenties. Buck does produce good music and he works very hard in doing so. I love bucks music and it is very common for rappers to come up in this sort of lifestyle. Many of the lyrics that he produces pertains to some time in his life, you just have to listen closely enough. Buck did have a rough childhood, and he did get into a little trouble as well, but for someone to turn it all around like that is very impressive, and that is why he remains one of my top 3 rappers of all time. He is a very talented man, his first album came out when he was 15, and he has dropped 9 records since then, and at one point was at the top of the billboard 100 charts. He now performs with many other rappers in order to try and make himself bigger than ever. He doesn’t rap with just anybody he chooses to rap alongside 50 cent, and others such as Dj Khaled, and Eminem. That is what makes him so big is the fact that he can perform with these rap gods. Buck is just about to release a new record in the upcoming summer months and boy I cannot wait to buy it. And yes I DO OWN EVERY RECORD THAT HE HAS EVER MADE!
I have just read my buddies blog back home and he talks about his high school life, and what it feels like going to school and being a senior. I liked it because he talks about a lot of the same stuff that i went through, like realizing that yuou cant play high school sports anymore, and you are gonna split ways with the people that you went to school with for 4 years.
